How to change your address on Progressive
To change your address on Progressive: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.
The short version
Go straight to the address settings: https://account.apps.progressive.com/access/ez-login
- If you are staying in the same state, log in to your Progressive policy online or call 1-866-749-7436 to update your address.
- If you are moving to a different state, you need a new auto policy for that state, even if you stay with Progressive. Notify them with your move date and new address.
- Be ready to confirm where each vehicle is garaged overnight; Progressive may ask for proof such as a utility bill, license, paystub, or W-2.
One Progressive gotcha: An out-of-state move is not an address edit. Progressive cancels the old-state policy and issues a new one because coverage rules differ by state. Garaging ZIP also drives rating, so expect a rate change.

Worth knowing for insurance accounts
- Your address is part of how insurers price your policy. Auto and renters premiums change by ZIP code, and a stale address can jeopardize a claim.
- Update before you need to file anything: claims adjusters check that the address matches the policy.
