How to change your address on Duke Energy

To change your address on Duke Energy: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.duke-energy.com/my-account/profile

  1. Sign in to Duke Energy My Account and select the service location tied to the home you are leaving.
  2. Open Start/Stop Service and schedule service to stop at your old address, then enter the new address and requested start date for the new location.
  3. Review the request before submitting so the old and new service dates do not leave an unintended gap or overlap.
  4. After the move request is accepted, update your My Account contact information and alerts so the final bill and service notices reach you.

One Duke Energy gotcha: Duke Energy customizes the flow by state and service territory. Editing profile contact information does not move electric service; use Start/Stop Service and confirm that the new address is inside the selected Duke territory.
