How to change your address on AT&T

To change your address on AT&T: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.att.com/acctmgmt/profile

  1. Sign in to your AT&T account profile and open Account info.
  2. Choose Edit for the billing address (paper bills and correspondence; a P.O. Box is allowed). Accounts less than 30 days old, or whose first payment has not processed, cannot change billing online.
  3. Under Primary place of use addresses, select Manage, then Edit each wireless number. PPU must be a physical address (no P.O. Box), sets tax rates, and can differ per line.
  4. Under e911 address, select Manage, then Edit each line used for Wi-Fi Calling so emergency routing uses your new location.

One AT&T gotcha: Wireless needs three separate address updates (billing, PPU, and e911). Fixing billing alone does not update taxes or Wi-Fi Calling 911. Home internet or Fiber is a separate transfer-of-service order, not this profile edit.

  • Carriers bill by service address, and e911 location for your phone line depends on it being current.
  • Internet providers may need an appointment at the new address. Schedule before moving day.
